Runecast

Runecast Solutions develops a tool for analyzing virtualized environments based on the VMware platform. Its users can thus detect potential problems and prevent outages in their data centers. Runecast was founded in 2014 in Brno by six co-founders led by Stanimir Markov, the current CEO. These were colleagues from IBM who wanted to capitalize on their long-term experience, mainly with the VMware platform. A year later, the result of the joint effort was the Runecast Analyzer tool.

The company is still growing, currently operating on the global market and collecting a large number of awards. For example, Runecast was listed as a "Cool Vendor" by Gartner. This is an award for new, innovative and progressive technology companies that have great potential for the future.

Products in the DNS portfolio
Runecast Analyzer uses advanced analysis to predict possible problems in VMware environments (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Horizon), VMware Cloud on AWS, and AWS Public Cloud. This analysis helps prevent complications and outages by comparing the current configuration of VMware tools with multiple knowledge bases. These are, for example, the VMware Knowledge Base and Best practices, which save admins a great deal of time compared to manually searching these extensive databases. Runecast Analyzer automates security auditing for your AWS & VMware environments, across standards: VMware Security Hardening Guide, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, PCI DSS, DISA STIG, HIPAA, BSI IT-Grundschutz, etc. It also includes a robust log management tool and v last but not least, the automatic check of hardware compatibility with individual versions of VMware tools. In the current version, support for SAP HANA clusters on the VMware platform has been added.
